Welcoming our new Clinical Director

We are excited to announce the appointment of our new Clinical Director at GreenLifeIOP. Please join us in welcoming Kayla Katz, whose experience and passion for patient care, as well as leadership qualities will undoubtedly continue to enhance the high standards of care that our team strives to provide each day.

As we celebrate this exciting new chapter, we also want to take a moment to recognize and honor the work of Robert Scardino, who retired after several years of dedicated service to GreenLifeIOP as our past Clinical Director. We are deeply grateful for the legacy Bob leaves behind and wish him all the best in his next chapter of life.

Kayla Katz started working at GreenLifeIOP in 2020 as a Substance Use Counselor, providing group therapy for our Clients. Over the years, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional clinical skills, a deep understanding of the treatment process, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of our clients. Now, we are thrilled to increase her capacity and empower her to lead our clinical team in this new role, confident that her vision will continue to elevate the quality of care we provide.

Kayla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work. With over 10 years of experience in a range of clinical settings, she has worked extensively in both substance use and behavioral health treatment, providing care in inpatient and outpatient environments. Kayla has a strong background in the nonprofit sector, particularly in community social services, which has further enriched her ability to support individuals in need.

What drives Kayla as a social worker and now as Clinical Director is her passion for authentic connection and meaningful interactions. She believes that creating a collaborative and supportive environment is key to helping clients feel motivated and inspired to make positive changes in their lives. As a therapist and leader, Kayla's approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and genuine care. She recognizes that strong therapeutic relationships are built on trust and rapport, and she prioritizes active listening, validating emotions, and offering unwavering support to help individuals navigate their unique journeys.
